BREAKING NEWS: NFL Schedule Release Date and Other Dolphins Notes
The Miami Dolphins and the other NFL teams will soon know the dates and times of their 2024 games
It looks like we finally have a date for the NFL schedule release party. According to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal, the 2024 regular season schedule will be unveiled on a weekend from Wednesday, May 15. This year, the schedule’s release was reportedly delayed due to the NFL’s decision to schedule two games on Christmas Day, which falls on a Wednesday in 2024.
As a refresher, the Dolphins’ home opponents for the 2024 season, in addition to the other AFC East teams, will include the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco 49ers. On the road, the Dolphins will face the Bills, Jets, and Patriots, along with the Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers.
Regarding jersey updates, long-snapper Blake Ferguson is fulfilling his promise to provide signed jerseys with his new number, 48, for those who had purchased his previous number, 44. He has provided instructions on how to make the exchange, including mailing the old jerseys to the Miami Dolphins Baptist Health Training Complex.
In other news, Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa, will be attending a second rookie minicamp tryout with the Arizona Cardinals, following a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks. Additionally, condolences go out to former Dolphins assistant coach Joel Collier on the passing of his father, Joe Collier, a respected coach known for his contributions to the Denver Broncos’ “Orange Crush” defense. Joel Collier currently serves as the director of pro personnel for the Atlanta Falcons.
